For my e-portfolio, I wanted to create an aesthetic that portrayed me. I decided to include critical, bright pictures of people who have supported me and me throughout my life. I wanted this website to signify relationally and find happiness within myself and others. Also, for this website, I wanted it to be classic. I feel that the way I dress and carry myself is super put-together, so I wanted this website to reflect that. Everything from the white space, font, layering, and organization of the projects was meant to be structured to reflect my personality.

This was my first time creating a website, and I am grateful for how Furman provides students with opportunities to build an online portfolio. I had to add various strips, text boxes, icons and make them look pleasing for my portfolio. I also had to link my social media platforms and my resume. Additionally, I uploaded my significant projects, blogs, and reflections.

Throughout this experience, I learned a ton about designing a portfolio that embodies me and my values. I learned how to create strips that flowed well with my images and text. I also learned to import different projects and manage them through other columns. Most importantly, I put all of my knowledge of being a media consumer and content creator to the test. I established my credibility, selected posts that would gauge my audience's interests, generated meaningful content, resonated with others, and played with different aesthetics to find the best-suited one.
I know that I will use everything I learned from building this online portfolio for the rest of my career. Given that I want to pursue a marketing career in the fashion industry with Chanel, presentation, aesthetics, and content are vital for the brand's growth. I know that the editing skills I have learned throughout projects and building a website from scratch will make me strong for future employers. I will help them curate a website that truly embodies their message and image.
